Mission, Aims and Objectives
Mission
Radio Uzima Tanzania Fm Trust is a non-profit Trust which exists for the sole purpose of
faithfully proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to the entire community of the
Dodoma area, and the communities in Tanzania, in a holistic and meaningful manner,
using high quality audio technology to present entertaining, informative, instructive,
peace-promoting, multi-cultural and multi-lingual programmes.
Aims and Objectives
Radio Uzima Tanzania Fm will be a community Sound Broadcasting Radio service with the following Aims & Objectives:
To present the Good News of Jesus Christ to the whole community in a meaningful manner.
To be essentially Evangelistic in nature.
To provide an interactive service with a high level of local content, in both talk and music.
To broadcast to the Dodoma Area and the communities in Tanzania for as many hours per day as possible.
To provide a community service to all residents of the Dodoma area and the communities in Tanzania, through the presentation of local news, views and opinions.
To encourage contributions and involvement from as many members of the community as possible, and from schools, clubs, societies and commerce.
To broadcast in English and Swahili (mainly).
To consider the use of other languages when appropriate.
To develop and maintain an active and dynamic care system and follow up procedure.
To be self sustaining through various fund raising, sponsorship and donation activities, with sufficient funds to enable an adequate maintenance of technical standards.
To remain actively involved in other African broadcasting associations that may be beneficial to Radio Uzima Tanzania Fm.
To produce programmes for and act as a service agency to other community radio stations.
To distribute all surplus funds, after basic running costs have been covered, to community or other Christian community radio projects.
